If you like detailed, intricate, hands-on crafting projects, then this is for you! This is probably the most complicated and detailed model out there with numerous tiny pieces to pull together and 4 types of lighting to install. But the end-result is so impressive - the pics don't do it justice - it is well worth the time!Even though this was my first model, the clear instructions, quality and completeness of the kit make it easy to make the model exactly as pictured. But be prepared that even the simplest pieces will take more time than expected to pull together. So it is not for those who want quick results - mine took 4 weekends to complete.The only problem I encountered was getting the roof pieces to fit together. My husband and I laid out the pieces ahead of time to plan the angles. No matter what we tried, we just couldn't get the triangular pieces to fit together. He finally did some gerry-rigging (shims, modifying pieces, etc) to get it to work. Fortunately, enough vines are supplied to cover any gaps and boo-boos. The final piece looks perfect - have gotten so many compliments from friends and family already!I'm hooked! This has kicked off a new hobby for me and I've already bought other kits to try out. The quality of this one will be hard to beat!

I purchased this kit almost a year ago. After comparing this kit to several others ive completed, I felt compelled to came back to give this one a 5 star review!The main reason is that there is no way I could have purchased all of the amazing miniature food, furnature and accessories for this price or even the materials to make them! This kit truly comes with a beautiful assortment of extras.I am seriously considering purchasing another kit for kit bashing and just to have the extras on hand for other projects.If you are into these types of kits you will be pleasantly surprised!

My daughter and I loved this craft. It was the first mini-house that we built and we loved it! We didn't use an exacto knife but it turned out so great! We cut things out carefully and when we were confused, we watched a video. It took us about 5 days. We worked on it about 4-5 hours each day. It was so much fun! My daughter is 13 and very patient.

We got this for my 11 year old daughter for Christmas and we loved it and we're still putting it together but everything has to be put together all the furniture everything that goes on the furniture you put together it is definitely not something for anyone under the age of 13 I feel like it's hard for me and my husband to do it but overall the product is absolutely amazing there is so much detail that went into it. We love how it's turning out and I would highly recommend anyone to buy this but I just don't feel like it's for a kid.

After purchasing my very first DIY kit, I was a little apprehensive, as I had not seen anything like this before, but after 3 days of putting my Dreamy Book Hall together, I am more than happy. It looks amazing. Now planning what next to puchase. Hopefully, one day, I will have all of them. Incredible craftmanship.

Fun project with your child

Bought this as a gift for my hubby who loves crafty things. He had previously completed easier builds so this was the perfect challenge.

He found it fun to build but sometimes frustrating due to the instructions/assembly order. However, after loads of patience and construction, it has turned out to be such a beautiful piece in our home.

So petty good..

This was great. Took me awhile to finish, but I’m so happy with the result. Always remember. Take your time. Don’t rush the experience.

Good quality for the price!

I've got a few of these and just love getting crafty whenever I have a bit of free time.
If you've got young kids, you're going to want to put this together in a place high enough that they can't snatch things when you're not looking, I imagine.
A beautiful little kit, with almost everything you need (except maybe special little glue, scissors etc),, to make the perfect little work of art.
Very therapeutic and calming to ignore the outside world for a while and just focus on making something nice.
And you can go as quickly as you like or take your sweet time; that's the real beauty of art stuff, doesn't need to be rushed to be appreciated.
Then I stick them in between books on my bookshelves so I can admire them.
People often notice them here and there around my home, so it's also a great conversation piece, and would also be nice on a little wall shelf or on a coffee table.
My only piece of advice would be that if you're a newbie, start with just one. A small one. They are quite intricate, so you're going to want to take your time and enjoy it.

The size of all the pieces was so cute. It can be challenging, and tedious, but just have patience.
This kit, for the size, the details, all the pieces, was great for the cost!! Some of the pieces are very delicate, and easy to snap, so again patience

One of my most favorite mini houses I have built! Probably wouldn’t suggest for first time builders, but the instructions will guide you along so…. Go For It! I hope you love it as much as I do!

love it. but be very careful. you are dealing with balsa wood so therefor some pieces can break easily.

I had about 10 booknooks under my belt before attempting to build Magic Wand and Magic Coffee miniature.I read all the reviews about how things had to be cut and glued together to make everything from scratch so I knew what I was getting into from the start and there were no surprises. That's why I think I really loved this style of build. It's tangentially similar to a booknook kit, but here everything is kind of freeform. No snapping things into place or just popping out a coffee maker and placing it somewhere. It's very detailed and I like that everything is 3D. Also cool to be able to open it and look at the details inside.Magic Coffee took me about 3 weeks of working on it. Another reviewer said it took them 100 hours to fully assemble and even though I didn't keep track of time spent, I believe it was probably close to that.Magic Wand took me about 2 weeks since it was a very similar build to Magic Coffee. I got tired for making wands so I had to take a break for a few days so that it didn't get annoying, but overall it was a fun build. Lots of odes to Harry Potter. My box had a paintbrush but it was was missing the paint. I happened to have green paint on hand that matched closely so I used that for the window and some trim.My personal supplies included: scissors, B-7000 glue, Scotch super glue, ruler, furniture markers to touch up edges, exacto knife, tweezers, binder clips large and small. Note that neither kit included any of this.The box was not wrapped in plastic and I was worried about missing pieces, but I went through the inventory list and counted every bead, button, and screw before beginning and 99.9% of everything was there with some to spares. I also check the lights 1st thing before every build to make sure that was working. Some wood pieces are warped and therefore I had to use superglue, but for everything else I use B-7000 glue which has worked perfect for all my builds. It was also hard to take the pieces out without splintering so I had to use an exacto knife on every wood piece. I had to keep binder clips on hand for these builds since there was a bit of clamping required to keep things together. I suggest keeping everything separated in the ziploc bags they come. I had no issues with instructions on either miniature, everything was straightforward (though I'm very good at assembling furniture so instructions are my strength). I don't ever read the text on instructions because pictures are usually more than enough for me. I am meticulous and patient so these projects keep my creative juices engaged.I really had a blast assembling this and do recommend it for non-beginners.

Fun build but not for the faint of heart or inexperienced builder. Do yourself a favor and make copies of the paper because if you are anything like me you will want to embellish the negative spaces. Enjoy your build. I cannot wait for them to come out with another one like this and the wand shop.

So much fun to make if your a miniaturist creator. Batteries required. If your creative, want to relax and need a new hobby, buy this!

This is my first miniature. It is quite small and the details are amazing! The directions are clear and easy to follow. I am really enjoying the process.

My favorite model so far! Lots and lots of details and the students in the library where I look love it. Every time they look, they find new details they missed before. It's very neat that it opens to allow better viewing. Challenging so might be too much for a beginner.

This kit is great. It takes a while to complete, which I appreciated since most kits are too easy. It also got my creativity going, so I made many items not included to add to the room. (It’s easy to do from trash scraps, beads, and other household items.) This was perfect for me. In the end I didn’t want to get done so I made lanterns for all of lights.

Loved doing the Magic Coffee shop and it had a lot of fun little projects. Most of the pieces snapped out smoothly but some splintered. I used an exacto knife to cut the more delicate pieces out.The only real issue is the lights never worked. I believe the issue was the connection of the wires. I wish that they had sent this portion of the project completed, so you can just attach them.But I would recommend!

My daughter does these regularly. She is really into book nooks and projects of this type so putting this together was a breeze for her. Everything was included aside from the glue but we had plenty on hand. I wouldnt recommend this for beginners. It's definitely more advanced and the included instructions may not be enough for someone new to projects like this.
