Kyoto Alley

The lighting is definitely my favorite part. Once the room gets dark, the little alley has such a warm and peaceful glow.

This was my first time building one of these, and overall I really enjoyed it. The quality seemed good and the finished piece looks beautiful. Some parts needed quite a bit of finger strength to fit together, and I got stuck for a while when the LED wires became tangled. The instructions also showed the wires as color coded, but they didn’t seem to match that way. We eventually figured it out and got everything working. It went from relaxing, to a little frustrating, and then back to relaxing once I finally finished it. Definitely felt proud of myself when it was done!

I worked on this after dinner for several nights and found it really relaxing. There was always another little section to work on, so it never felt repetitive. Seeing the full street come together at the end was very satisfying.

I really enjoyed putting this together. The tiny buildings and street details give it such a peaceful feeling, and I love switching on the lights when I’m relaxing in the evening.

I spent most of my weekend working on this and had a great time. The build kept me busy without feeling too overwhelming, and the finished alley is really pretty.

This looks fantastic on my bookshelf. During the day you can see all the little details, and at night the lighting gives it a completely different look.
